Privacy policy

Effective 23 October 2026.

The short version

Your data is yours. Everything Payday saves stays on your phone. It is never sent to us, never shared with anyone and never sold. Your BlackBox username and password are yours too: the app never sees your password and never stores it.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not run a server for this app. There are no accounts with us, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash reporting services.

How signing in works

When you sign in, the app opens BlackBox Global's own sign-in page. You type your username and password into BlackBox's page, and they go to BlackBox and nowhere else. BlackBox then hands back a sign-in pass, which the app keeps in your iPhone's keychain and sends only to BlackBox Global when it asks for your numbers. The pass lasts about three days. Signing out in Settings removes it.

What is saved on your phone

Your sales, payouts, earnings history and clip list, as BlackBox Global shows them to you, so the app works offline and keeps your history. A short part of your BlackBox profile is saved for the Settings screen: your name, username, email and payout method name. Your address, phone number and any identity documents in your BlackBox profile are not saved. All of this stays inside the app's private storage on your phone and leaves it only if you back up your phone yourself, under Apple's own backup settings.

Who the app talks to

Only two places, and neither of them is us:

BlackBox Global, to fetch your own account's numbers, clip pictures and previews, using your own sign-in. What BlackBox does with its own data is covered by BlackBox Global's privacy policy.
Expo's update service, which the app checks for small bug fixes to itself. That check sends the app's version and nothing about you or your account.

Notifications

If you switch on sale and payout alerts in Settings, iPhone asks your permission first. The alerts are created on the phone itself by comparing new numbers with saved ones. No message about your account passes through any server of ours.

Sample data

Try sample data shows invented numbers built on the phone. It makes no network requests and is wiped when you leave it.

Children

Payday is meant for adult stock footage contributors and does not knowingly hold data about children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Collecting any data would always be opt-in, and never applied to people who did not agree to it.
